I chose Rakhee for my wedding day hair and make- up, initially because my sister had chosen Rakhee for her wedding. Therefore I knew that I was going to feel comfortable with her and that she would do a good job!

But the way that I felt on the actual day was just amazing! I was really, really pleased with my hair and make-up for both the civil and traditional wedding. She had some amazing ideas which just complemented my outfits perfectly. The overall 'look' was fantastic, and I received many compliments from friends and family.

However the main thing for me was that Rakhee was easy to work with, she listens to your ideas and is brilliant with family. In addition Rakhee made me feel completely at ease, on a very nerve racking morning and she made me look and feel so beautiful. Thank you so much as I have seen some of my professional photographs and I am very happy.

The first time I had spoken to Raks was over a brief phone conversation following a recommendation from a friend to do my bridal hair and makeup. Raks sounded very pleasant and helpful so I proceeded with booking a trial.

Raks was very flexible in times for when she could do the trial so one quiet Sunday afternoon she came round to my house and we went through colours and styles I was looking for. I was looking for two very different looks – a traditional bridal look for the wedding ceremony day and a more contemporary "princess look" for the reception. We tried different hairstyles and makeup combinations until I was happy, during this time Raks remained calm and took her time. She was very friendly – it didn't feel like we had just met, I had completely lost track of time! After the trial I had complete confidence that Raks would achieve the two looks I had dreamt off.

On the morning of the wedding, Raks turned up bright and early, she was one of the first people of many I saw that day so she saw the initial nervousness I felt as the "big day" had approached. However, those nerves soon disappeared as Raks and I got into conversation which took my mind of feeling nervous! Raks got me ready within the estimated time frame – we then opened the door of the room I was getting ready in to be faced by family/friends waiting to see what I looked like. I saw open mouths, teary eyes and heard gasps of "wow" with people saying "you look amazing". Raks did a fantastic job and the compliments kept flowing throughout the rest of that day.

The following day was the reception party; once again Raks had done a fantastic job! A completely different look to the previous day – it was when my uncle said to me "Monica you looked like a princess when I saw you walk into the room" that I knew that the look I wanted to achieve was certainly portrayed in other people's eyes. I definitely felt like a princess and that's all thanks to Raks for talking away the nervousness, making me feel calm and making me feel like a million dollars.

Thank you Rakhee, I'll definitely be coming to you again for future functions we have!

Ever since I met Rakhee at a wedding exhibition, I knew she was the hair\make-up artist I would have on my Special Day.

2 years later I met my prince and the day we set our dates for our occasions, Rakhee was the first call to book for my events, I was so excited as she said Yes.

Rakhee did my hair and make-up for my Civil, Sagai, Mehndi and Wedding day. Rakhee also did my Mehndi which was all up my arms to my shoulders and to my knees, which was amazing!!

A HUGE thank you for doing my bridal make up and hair. Having been recommended by a close friend, we contacted Rakhee, then went for an initial consultation, where we discussed the colours I would be wearing on the day, the jewellery and accessories and how my duputta/dress would work depending on how my hair was done. All my fears and anxieties were put at ease as we went through each category of how best to match and essentially the colour co- ordination would work to what I would be wearing. Rakhee recommended types of lipsticks that would work for me, and the hair style. I felt so confident I didn't have a trial… (Yes that's true.. no trial). On the day Rakhee arrived as agreed, and set about in a professional way in transforming me into the bridal look I required, the make up she provided was quality. She took her time and made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. Everything from the hair bun, all make up, accessories, to the tie back pins was provided and any extras that were needed sorted out. Rakhee has such great style and natural flare in all areas of her bridal services. She is a perfectionist cos she loves what she does and I know she does! From her hair ideas, to her make up and mehendhi designs, I just think what Rakhee does is amazing! One word to describe Raks and her services – WOW!!! Words cannot express my gratitude to you Raks.

Initially I chose Rakz to do my bridal make up services for her intricate henna designs, every bride has aspirations for her day and I loved her henna and really wanted the finest for the day!

I was also after convenience, therefore I wanted an all in one package, hair, make up, henna and dressing, I wasn't sure about what she knew or her experience in those other areas, but decided to go for the trial (thank God I did). The trial absolutely blew me away with her professionalism, her artistic flair and what she could do with me, just about anything. I thought I had it all planned, what I wanted to look like, but she had better ideas!

In all my occasions she made me feel like a star, I know I looked amazing and the fact that everyone until this day still asks, who did my day and can we have the details. You get people exaggerating on testimonials but no matter how much I exaggerate its not enough to describe Rak's work! See for yourself and you will know exactly know what I mean!
